Roeno

Roeno stands as a heartfelt homage to the founder Rolando Fugatti. The winery is located on the Trentino-Veneto border, and is currently run by siblings Cristina, Giuseppe, and Roberta Fugatti.

Here, they nurture the region's traditional grapes: Teroldego, Marzemino, Riesling, Müller Thurgau, and the indigenous Enantio, a grape with roots tracing back to Roman times. It was first mentioned by Pliny The Elder in his Naturalis Historia in 79 a.D.

Embracing sustainable agricultural practices, Roeno prioritizes the conservation of local resources.

Giuseppe and Cristina’s precise, respectful approach draws from century old German and Austrian winemaking traditions, resulting in wines of the purest varietal character, freshness, and balance.

Each bottle encapsulates the essence of its terroir, offering exceptional quality and a genuine sense of place.

  • Roeno Enantio Wine Terradeiforti

    Enantio Terradeiforti DOC

Enantio is a native grape of the “Terra dei Forti” a small area on the border of Trentino and Veneto, dotted by ancient fortifications. It was first mentioned by Pliny The Elder in 79 d.C, but has never been planted or grown elsewhere. It is cultivated on sandy soils along the Adige River, with the traditional “Pergola Trentina” system. For decades it has been mistakenly included in the Lambrusco family of grapes, but recent DNA analysis has proved no relationship. Most of the vineyards are on their own rootstocks. This is a truly unique, rare wine with a peculiar flavor profile that blends supple wild berries with notes of menthol and spices.
