Tempa di Zoè

Tempa di Zoè represents the latest chapter in the remarkable journey of Bruno de Conciliis, a visionary winemaker and cultural luminary hailing from the Cilento region of Campania.

Inspired by his homeland's resilience after a devastating earthquake in 1980, Bruno dedicated himself to its restoration, drawing upon his background in art and literature. Initially establishing an herb farm rooted in early biodynamics, Bruno later shifted his focus to winemaking on his family's neglected lands.

Amidst a backdrop of historical viticulture dating back to 800 BC, Bruno's exploration unearthed the unique terroir of Cilento, characterized by golden sands and sedimentary schist layers, lending a distinct saline quality to his Aglianico-based reds and Fiano-based whites. Contrary to Campania’s other great Terroirs originated by volcanic activity, Cilento’s soils were created by the ocean, underwater. This unique combination of sedimentary limestone and Flysch with traces of Numidian and quartz provides for wines that are savory, agile and über-expressive.

Beyond pioneering organic and biodynamic practices, Bruno's ethos embodies a profound connection to the land, emphasizing sustainability and adaptability in the face of climate challenges. With 12 hectares under cultivation, Tempa di Zoè stands as a testament to Bruno's unwavering commitment to redefining Cilento's winemaking potential with integrity and foresight.
